Take Myself is a track that was originally written by long time friend and fellow musician, Shane Wilson. This was a song i borrowed from Shane (with his permission of course) and changed some of the lyric, along with composing new music for the track. I love the way this song came about originally. Shane worked in a job where he helped mentally ill people find work. One of his clients one day said to him "The trouble is Shane, i take myself wherever i go". Isn't that the case with all of us? Profound but very true.
VS 1. Left my flat at half past nine i hope to find what i'm looking for into my shoes and on to this street i hope to find what i'm looking for Made the train just on time i wanna find what i'm looking for well screw this crazy life give me the even flow i wanna find what i'm looking for CHORUS And i take myself wherever i go where that is i don't exactly know i'm out and about i'm just hanging around and i take myself wherever i go VS 2. Walked this town at half past four i'm hoping to find a world with so much more faces of steel and hatred that's real that's not what i'm looking for To the other side where the grass is green i hope to find what i'm looking for past used syringes and through the strawberry fields i haven't found what i'm looking for CHORUS
